The classic mid-century silhouette features a slender tapered neck, a bulbous lower body, and a clear glass handle with a distinctive twisted design.
Standing approximately 11 inches tall with a max diameter of 5.5 inches, this decorative ewer retains its original red and silver metallic manufacturer label on the body reading „VB Opaline Florence – Made in Italy”. During the 1970s, Italian glassmakers in regions like Florence and Murano embraced opaline glass to create high-contrast, sculptural objects. This piece highly reflects the design language popularized by iconic designers like Carlo Moretti, who famously experimented with satin milk glass and bold, linear color inclusions. The twisted clear handle and feathered orange festoons (piumato style) provide an elegant, tactile quality. This substantial art glass jug serves as a striking standalone statement piece, perfectly complementing Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic contemporary interiors.
