This impressive and oversized Delft Blue wall charger was crafted by the renowned Royal Sphinx (Petrus Regout) manufactory in Maastricht, Netherlands. At a magnificent 15.5 inches in diameter, the central scene features a masterful riverside landscape after the celebrated Dutch painter Louis Apol (1850–1936). Apol, a prominent figure of the Hague School, was famous for his atmospheric depictions of the Dutch countryside, capturing a poetic sense of light and space. Framed by a lush floral border, this substantial piece combines the heritage of Dutch fine art with the masterful ceramic tradition of Maastricht.
