For centuries, ceramic wall tiles have been an integral part of European decorative art, especially in countries like the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. In the Dutch tradition, Delft tiles became widely popular from the 17th century onward, known for their distinctive blue-on-white designs and depictions of daily life, landscapes, or biblical scenes. Originally used to protect and embellish walls around fireplaces and stoves, they gradually became cherished art pieces in their own right. Today, vintage ceramic tiles remain highly collectible and continue to add timeless charm to interior spaces.

MOSA is a historic Dutch ceramics manufacturer founded in 1883 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The name MOSA is derived from the Latin word for the river Meuse (Maas in Dutch), which flows through Maastricht. Over the decades, MOSA became known for producing high-quality ceramic tiles and tableware that combined traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Their decorative tiles, often featuring classic Dutch scenes and motifs, are now cherished by collectors worldwide for their timeless style and durable artistry.
