Founded in 1842, the factory gained recognition for its high-quality utilitarian and decorative ceramics. In the postwar period, the Koło factory became known for hand-painted pieces that showcased folk-inspired floral designs in the signature blue-and-white palette—a tradition that reflects the enduring popularity of Polish folk and applied arts.
