This impressive Delft Blue decorative plate was produced in the 1970s by the Chemkefa manufactory in the Netherlands. Measuring a substantial 13 1/4 inches, the central decoration features a charming and nostalgic Dutch scene: a group of people gathered beneath a large, leafy tree with a stone bridge and town buildings in the background. The piece is rendered in a deep cobalt blue underglaze and is characterized by a beautiful, prominent crazing (craquelure) that adds authentic vintage soul to the ceramic. The back of the plate features pre-drilled holes, allowing it to be easily and securely hung on a wall. A perfect addition to a traditional gallery wall or a classic European-style interior.
